Villa Margherita

Villa Margherita Villa Margherita
This city park was opened to the public in 1889 and dedicated to Queen Margherita of Savoy.

The area of the park, with a rectangular plan, has an entrance on each side and includes several elements of interest. It is an oasis of peace and tranquillity in the middle of the city centre and in summer it hosts an open-air Theater where operas, shows and concerts are staged by the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese.

Villa Margherita surprises us with its pond with swans and a rich botanical path divided into four sectors, through which you can turn the world among different botanical species.

A large space is dedicated to children with an equipped and inclusive play area.

Erice

Balio Gardens

This elegant public garden, in English style, was born as a result of the intervention of the nineteenth century Count Agostino Pepoli, who transformed the area adjacent to the towers of Balio with the precise idea of creating a “garden enchanted“, a place of peace, reflection and contemplation of the surrounding landscape. It offers a view in different directions: from the Gulf of Trapani, meeting Mount Cofano, behind which you can see the tip of S. Vito lo Capo and, again, the port of Trapani and its port.
