From Trapani’s train station, 1 km eastwards from the city centre in Piazza Umberto, there are 5 train departures per day to Marsala (€3.80, 25-40 min) and Mazara del Vallo (€5.10, 55 min) and to Palermo, although the bus is the most direct and quickest way to the latter destination.
