Church of San Pietro
The prospectus presents Renaissance details in the tympanum of the portal, which contains a Virgin and Child of the Gaginian school. Inside there are precious paintings by Andrea Carreca (XVII century) and among the sculptures a wooden crucifix by Giuseppe Milanti (XVIII century), a Pietà by Francesco Nolfo (XVIII century) and a San Pietro sitting in a chair by Mario Ciotta (XVII century).
An exceptional nineteenth-century testimony is the organ “Francesco La Grassa”, a unicum realized by its polyhedral and homonymous designer which possesses such a wide sound range that it constitutes itself an ensemble, an orchestra of sounds.
